Jack Schlossberg is the late President John F. Kennedy’s only grandson, the son of JFK’s only surviving child, Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg with her husband, Edwin Schlossberg.

Although the younger Schlossberg has mostly stayed out of the public eye, he recently made his first television appearance. Appearing on TODAY along side his mother, Schlossberg was there to promote the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award, which they later presented to President Barack Obama.

In the wide-ranging interview, the 24-year-old revealed that while he’s proud of his family’s legacy, he’s not going to rest on his laurels.

"I'm inspired by my family's legacy of public service," he said. "It's something that I'm very proud of, but I'm still trying to make my own way, figure things out, so stay tuned."

Here’s a photo of Schlossberg as a child.

2. He’s Deeply Patriotic

Writing for People, Schlossberg penned a short essay about why he loves America. He says that he loves his country for the equality, peace and prosperity it offers all citizens, but he also pointed out what he sees as shortcomings of the current national administration, including President Trump’s decision to pull out of the Paris Climate Agreement.

3. He’s Getting An Ivy League Education

In 2015, Schlossberg graduated from Yale with an undergraduate degree in history with a focus on Japanese history. This fall, he’s headed to Harvard Law.

4. He’s Not The Only Kennedy Descendant Making Waves

Schlossberg has two older sisters, Tatiana, 27, and Rose, 29. Tatiana is an environmental reporter for the The New York Times, while Rose is an actress who has also created a web series.
