<b>ORLANDO, FLA.</b> — A volleyball team comprised of Triangle high schoolers made history Tuesday night.

Triangle Volleyball Team 16 Black is the first North Carolina team to play for the National AAU Club Volleyball Championship. The team made it to the final game in the Under 16 Open Division in Orlando, Fla. by beating three undefeated teams.

WRAL News Anchor Jackie Hyland’s daughter, Caitlyn, is a member of the team.

The squad, which was the 25th seed going into the tournament, lost in the second set, 26-24, to Skyline out of Dallas, Texas.

According to the Danville Police Department, officers received a tip of prior animal abuse at a pet grooming store on Hairston Street in Danville. In the complaint, a video showed the employee, identified as 22-year-old Cassidy Gill, striking a dog in January and February. The video in the complaint was shared with other social media accounts, including PETA.
