I'm back! Well, I have been back now for several weeks and I am feeling good! I want to thank all of the wonderful viewers, friends and family for their concern while I was off the air. It really helped me knowing I had so much support!

Many of you know that I experienced some vocal issues that started towards the end of last year. I was diagnosed with Dysphonia. It is the medical term for disorders of the voice. I have been working on getting better ever since.

It has not been an easy road. At times, it was lonely and frustrating. The folks at the Duke Voice Center have been truly wonderful in helping me understand my situation and get better.

Last week, here at work, I got a beautiful surprise in the mail from the Red Hill Church in Coats. They sent me a lovely handmade prayer shawl. It is so beautifully crafted and it is intended to bring me love and comfort, something each and every one of us can use on a daily basis. It came at the right time in my life and I will treasure the shawl always!
