Internet Cat Video Festival making October stop in Pittsboro

Do you spend time watching cat videos online? Cat lovers will unite in Chatham County on Oct. 4 when the 2015 Internet Cat Video Festival makes a stop at the Pittsboro Roadhouse and General Store.

PITTSBORO, N.C. — Do you spend time watching cat videos online?

Cat lovers will unite in Chatham County on Oct. 4 when the 2015 Internet Cat Video Festival makes a stop at the Pittsboro Roadhouse and General Store.

The cat video festival is part of a 40th anniversary celebration for Chatham Animal Rescue and Education.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the event.

The event is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. with judging of an animal-themed cupcake decorating contest, an optional pasta buffet, door prizes and a raffle. Cat videos will take over at 6 p.m.

The Internet Cat Video Festival began in 2012 and tours across the United States.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Chatham Animal Rescue and Education, a nonprofit animal welfare organization that promotes responsible pet ownership.
