Crews challenged to install fiber without knocking out services
CARY, N.C. — Internet was restored Thursday evening to thousands of AT&T customers in parts of the Triangle after installation crews cut fiber lines.

It's unclear exactly how many customers were experiencing service issues, but AT&T officials said fiber line was cut in at least one place in Cary. An AT&T spokesman said early Friday morning that crews worked "around the clock to repair the damaged cable as quickly as possible."
