Weight loss and more healthful living are often on many people's minds at the start of a new year.

But it's hard to lose those extra pounds when you're overeating - even too much of the things nutritionists say you should be eating like fruits and vegetables. (The federal government recently unveiled new diet guidelines to guide better decisions).
"You can eat all of the good food that you want, but if you're not eating the correct portion sizes for you ... then you are not going to achieve those goals that you have set out to achieve," said Carolina Camaro, a Chapel Hill mom and owner of Inspire Fitness. She's been sharing quick health and fitness tips here on Go Ask Mom for the last couple of weeks.
