Inmate brutally beaten in St. Louis jail hospitalized with critical injuries

St. Louis, MO — Family members of an inmate brutally beaten inside the St. Louis City Jail are finally getting information from corrections officials.
"So far just a little improvement, " said Clara Holmes, referring to an update on the condition of Harold Mosley, Jr., who remains hospitalized with serious brain injuries.
All family members know is that Mosley was assaulted inside the jail on Saturday. St. Louis Police said Mosley, Jr. was found by a cellmate inside his cell. They also said he is now in critical condition.
"They're saying they don't know what happened," Holmes said referring to jail officials.
City Corrections Commissioner Dale Glass confirms the incident saying it's under investigation.
Holmes has been in the jail since last August accused of robbery.
St. Louis Police are investigating the apparent assault.
