Information sessions set for Wake magnet middle schools

Wake schools will host two magnet middle school information sessions this month so parents and students can explore the programs before the application period begins.

The first session is 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Davis Drive Elementary School, 2151 Davis Dr., Cary. A second session is 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Dec. 11, at Durant Road Elementary School, 9901 Durant Rd., Raleigh.

The sessions will feature the following magnet programs:

Gifted & Talented
International Baccalaureate/Creative Arts
Gifted & Talented/AG Basics
Leadership & Technology
Gifted & Talented/AG Basics/Museums
University Connections & Leadership

The magnet application period this year is Jan. 14 to Jan. 25.
