Indoor play room at Rainbow Play Systems
With the kids out of school, I bet a few families will be taking advantage of this deal at Tots to Teens Furniture and Rainbow Play Systems in north Raleigh.

Owner Amy Kurz tells me she'll be offering open play from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, at no charge. Free hot dogs and other treats will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kurz is the new owner of the popular business, which also sells youth furniture and the play sets. She shut the play area down in March to completely redo it. It reopened a few days later to big crowds.

The giant wooden play structure features multiple slides, a tunnel, climbing pieces and more. There's also a small play area for babies and toddlers. It's open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., weekdays. The cost usually is $5 per child for kids 2 and up. The indoor space also is popular for birthday parties.

It's at 8732 Glenwood Ave. in north Raleigh.
