Ice Day Hours: Museums, parks ready for visitors

I'm pretty sure I need to get out of the house today - slowly and carefully. Thankfully, the roads around my house in central Raleigh are in pretty decent shape.

Here are the cold weather hours for some of the more popular destinations for families in the Triangle. 

The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh will operate with normal hours Thursday. They open at 9 a.m.

The N.C. Museum of History in Raleigh will operate with normal hours Thursday. They open at 9 a.m.

The N.C. Museum of Art in Raleigh plans to open at 10 a.m., Thursday.

Raleigh parks and facilities, such as the community centers and indoor pools, will open at 10 a.m., Thursday.

The Museum of Life and Science in Durham will open at 10 a.m., Thursday.

Durham Parks and Recreation facilities and recreation centers are operating with normal hours Thursday.

Marbles Kids Museum will open at 11 a.m., Thursday.

The N.C. Zoo in Asheboro was closed Sunday and Monday, after Saturday's high winds knocked down trees. It will remain closed through at least Friday.
