— A FedEx tandem tractor-trailer crashed on northbound Interstate 95 near Rocky Mount on Wednesday morning, causing major back-ups on the road.

The highway re-opened by noon, according to the Department of Transportation.

It was unclear if anyone was hurt.

One of the two trailers attached to the FedEx tractor was on its side in the middle of the highway. Traffic was detoured at Exit 141 to Highway 43.

From the picture it actually looks like the on-ramp to 95 north and not the actual travel lanes.

North or south bound lanes? Your story does not tell which lane.

also this is a division of fedex freight not fedex express, so everything on that trailer is palletized freight and not packages..

this is a fedex national ltl set being pulled by a contractor. i pull doubles like this as well and if the trailers are not loaded correctly or if something happens in travel to uset that rear trailer then it is not hard to lose control of it and all you can do is hold on..thank god no one was hurt..
