Interstate 440 East reopened late Sunday after a multi-vehicle crash closed the highway between Wake Forest Road and Capital Boulevard, according to Raleigh police.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Interstate 440 East reopened late Sunday after a multi-vehicle crash closed the highway between Wake Forest Road and Capital Boulevard, according to Raleigh police.

No life-threatening injuries were reported in the wreck, which involved four cars and two motorcycles, police said. Some of the people involved were taken to a local hospital. Their names were not released.

The highway was clear by 10 p.m., about an hour after the crash.
