I-40 West in Duplin Co. closed overnight

From 11 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday and from 11 p.m. Wednesday until 5 a.m. Thursday, I-40 West at exit 355 (N.C. 403) will be closed so crews can perform repairs where a truck hit the bridge span in June.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A portion of Interstate 40 West will be closed overnight for bridge repairs this week, the N.C. Department of Transportation announced Tuesday.

From 11 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday and from 11 p.m. Wednesday until 5 a.m. Thursday, I-40 West at exit 355 (N.C. 403) will be closed so crews can perform repairs where a truck hit the bridge span in June.

Motorists traveling on I-40 West will be detoured onto the exit ramp and then continuing on to I-40 West.

The N.C. State Highway Patrol will direct N.C. 403 traffic.
