I-40 East ramp reopens in Raleigh after tractor-trailer wreck

— A tractor-trailer carrying mulch overturned early Wednesday while trying to access Interstate 40 East at Hammond Road in Raleigh, police said.

The wreck happened at about 3:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.

The on-ramp to I-40 reopened at about 7 a.m.

    Over and over again we are told how safe tractor-trailer drivers are. Maybe the number of wrecks per mile driven is very low, but many drivers just fall asleep at the wheel. Stay away from these rigs.
