Construction on an Interstate 295 interchange will close Ramsey Street this weekend, officials said.

<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — Construction on an Interstate 295 interchange will close Ramsey Street this weekend, officials said.

A contractor will install girders for the I-295 bridge that will carry traffic over Ramsey Street.

The closure will start at 8 p.m. Friday and run through  5 a.m. Monday, although the street could reopen earlier if work is  completed.

Northbound Ramsey Street traffic will be routed onto I-295, to River Road and back down I-295 to Ramsey Street. Southbound traffic will be routed onto Andrews Road and to McArthur Road to get back to Ramsey Street.
