Amen on too many deer around now. Saw a herd of over twenty go through my back yard the other morning. This is Hillsborough suburbs - a subdivision - no place for this many big deer. And being so close to hwy 70 I am amazed more accidents don't happen because of them.

Too many Bambis out there for the population to be a health one.

Strawberry Letter 23, I take it by your comment that you must be a vegan....If not, how do you think the meat you eat gets on your table? Almost all of the "Bambi's" that you are referring to are either used as food by the hunter to given to groups such as NC Hunters for the Hungry in order to help feed the people of NC that are in need of food.

Good piece however there was very little mentioned about the real purpose of the show-- deer hunting.
