Human remains found in Raleigh woods
Remains found in some Raleigh woods on Tuesday are those of an adult, police said Wednesday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Remains found in some Raleigh woods on Tuesday are those of an adult, police said Wednesday.
The remains were found around 5:30 p.m. near a lightly used pathway off of Hodges Street and Atlantic Avenue. The remains will be taken to the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the identity and to establish a cause of death, police spokesman Jim Sughrue said.
No other information was released. Investigators planned to return to the scene Wednesday to collect possible evidence.
