Human Remains Found in Abandoned Shed
Police are investigating the death of a person whose remains were found Thursday afternoon in an abandoned shed on South Plum Street.
Posted — UpdatedDURHAM, N.C. — Police are investigating the death of a person whose remains were found Thursday afternoon in an abandoned shed on South Plum Street.
Officers were called to 823 S. Plum St. at about 3:45 p.m. and found a badly decomposed body lying in the shed behind a vacant house, police said.
The body will be sent to the North Carolina Medical Examiner’s Office in Chapel Hill for an autopsy to determine the cause of death and possibly the identity of the person.
