Raleigh, N.C. — A Raleigh woman was displaced Saturday evening after her home caught fire.
Just after 6 p.m., firefighters were called to 7300 Fox Bluff Court after a fire started.
The homeowner said she was cooking in the kitchen when a blaze started in another part of the house.
The homeowner got out safely, and no one was injured. The Red Cross was assisting her.
The home was a complete loss, fire officials said. A house next door also suffered some heat damage.
Investigators said the fire originated in the living room and was caused by a candle burning too closely to combustible items.
