Storms move out of central NC; widely scattered thunderstorms likely Saturday
Another round of afternoon thunderstorms that could include heavy rain, hail and strong winds popped up just after 4 p.m. over Cumberland County, the leading edge of what promises to be another noisy night.

Overnight lows will dip into the low 70s before climbing into the 90s on Saturday.
A heat advisory is in effect for counties south of the Triangle on Saturday from noon to 7 p.m.
"We could see some widely scattered thunderstorms on Saturday as it heats up, but the day will not be a wash out by any means," Fishel said.
Saturday's storm chances are about 25 percent, and a similar scenario will unfold on Father's Day. The weekend rain chances will be associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Bill, which has dumped heavy rain in the Midwest after making landfall in Texas earlier this week.
"On Sunday, we could possibly get through the day without seeing any rain," he added.
