The streets will be buzzing starting Thursday as the seventh annual Hopscotch Music Festival kicks off in downtown Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The streets will be buzzing starting Thursday as the seventh annual <a href="https://www.wral.com/Hopscotch-Music-Festival-Raleigh/13893928/">Hopscotch Music Festival</a> kicks off in downtown Raleigh.

This three-day festival will feature 120 bands at 12 venues throughout the city. This year mark's the first time Red Hat Amphitheater will be an official Hopscotch venue. The amphitheater will host Erykah Badu and Gary Clark Jr. on Friday night.

The City Plaza stage will be rocking as well with Wolf Parade and Wye Oak on Thursday, and Beach House, Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals and The Dead Tongues on Friday. On Saturday, Sylvan Esso, Vince Staples and Tuskha will perform at the venue.

Another notable Hopscotch act this year is the first openly gay country band, <a href="https://www.wral.com/first-openly-gay-country-band-to-play-hopscotch/15667671/">Lavender Country.</a>
