Our highlights from the first day of Hopscotch Music Festival:

Great time at the Art of Cool's day party at the Pour House. You know the music is going to be good when the crowd includes Jeanne Jolly and Shirlette Amons, who also served as the day's host. (Make sure to check our their respective Hopscotch sets tonight! They are super talented ladies!)
The highlight of the day parties had to be seeing Brand New Life, a free jazz outfit from Greensboro.
At night, Ironing Board Sam, a blues piano player out of Hillsborough, blew the roof off of CAM! Definitely, someone you need to check out.
We also enjoyed sets from Old Quarter and Terry Anderson and the Olympic Ass-Kickin Team at Tir na Nog.
Did you check out any great bands during Hopscotch?
