Hope Mills mayor pro tem dies
The mayor pro tem of Hope Mills has died, officials said Saturday.

“Our community has lost a great man who loved his family, loved his church and loved Hope Mills," Hope Mills Mayor Jackie Warner said in a Facebook post. "I am honored to have shared time with him for many years at South View High and as a member of our Town board. He was my right hand man and a true friend."
No arrangements have been made at this time.
"Bob was a dedicated and honorable public servant, and he so loved the Town of Hope Mills. He will be dearly bissed by all," Town Manager Melissa Adams said in a statement.
Gorman was to be on the ballot in Tuesday's election.
