Hope Mills man charged with running two meth labs

A Hope Mills man was arrested Wednesday on charges that he ran two methamphetamine labs, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

HOPE MILLS, N.C. — A Hope Mills man was arrested Wednesday on charges that he ran two methamphetamine labs, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

Maxwell Lee Taylor III, 35, of 4917 Madison Drive, operated meth labs at his residence and at 1965 John McMillan Road, said Debbie Tanna, a spokeswoman for the sheriff's office.

Taylor was charged with four counts of drug possession, two counts each of manufacturing a controlled substance and maintaining a dwelling for manufacturing a controlled substance, and one count of possession of methamphetamine.

He was being held in the Cumberland Count Detention Center Thursday under a $150,000 bond.
