Heroes Homecoming has organized a weekend full of events that honor our country's brave soldiers. This Fayetteville celebration is open to the public to show their support and appreciation for our veterans.
The biggest event of the weekend is the Veterans Day Parade through downtown Fayetteville, which will be broadcast live on WRAL-TV and WRAL.com. The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, followed by an Opening Ceremony and Family Day at nearby Veterans Park. Children's games, live music, food vendors and local veteran's associations will set up in the park for an afternoon of fun and relaxation.
Other events in the three-day celebration include a book signing with the author of The Making of Our Warrior, the story of a father's bond with his son whose heroism during Operation Enduring Freedom saved the lives of 16 other soldiers, a flag dedication ceremony, a car show and an POW/MIA vigil. More details about specific events can be found on our event listing.

Last year's Heroes Homecoming was a huge success, and the parade drew quite a crowd. We hope to see you there!
