And if the statistics are correct the person shot was the homeowner with his own gun.

"thanks wral. you didn't even specify who was shot? the homeowner or the criminal?"

I was curious about that and checked who owns property on that street. Somebody named Cofield owns a house on that street, so it seems likely it was the homeowner (or family member) who was shot unless it was somebody from that house robbing their neighbor.

"Aren't guns one of the most prized stolen goods?"

Not if the owners do as they are supposed to and lock them up. Even a earthquake, fire, theft, or a rhino can get into mine. Unless you have crane ;-) (Besides the one by my bed) Be safe! Glad the owners weren't hurt.

How about the elderly who can't leave their houses like a recent robbery victim who was killed? I've already seen one or two senior citizens who own guns put their intruders to the test. They weren't robbed and they survived.

meh2, the crooks would just wait until people who live in "gun houses" would go to work...then break-in and steal all the guns. Aren't guns one of the most prized stolen goods?

I think it would be good if everyone who does not own a gun, who hates and fears guns, post a sign on their front yard stating those facts.

Then the gang bangers and thugs will leave the rest of us alone.

I never heard of this street, even though I live in Holly Springs myself (and I DO own a gun).

  • westoflyra Jun 24, 2009

If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.
