DURHAM, N.C. — A large home caught fire in north Durham Friday morning.

Firefighters with the Durham Fire Department responded to a home in the 2300 block of Vintage Hill Drive, near Treyburn Country Club, before 6:30 a.m. Thirty-nine firefighters worked to extinguish the fire, which was coming from the second floor.

The fire was under control in about 20 minutes and caused moderate damage to the outside of the home, the roof and the second floor, according to Durham firefighters.

There were no injuries, but two adults were forced to leave the home.

The fire, which is under investigation, appears to be related to an electrical issue.
