Holly Springs man killed in wreck

Authorities said James Lewis Hendricks was traveling south on Avent Ferry Road near New-Hill Holloman Road when he wrecked.

HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — A Holly Springs man died Friday morning when he ran off the road and hit a tree near the Shearon Harris reservoir.

Authorities said James Lewis Hendricks, 46, was traveling south on Avent Ferry Road near New Hill Holloman Road when he wrecked. Troopers said he was wearing his seat belt, and that his car was the only one involved.

The cause of the wreck had not been determined.
