I've written about the family movies screened at Holly Springs Cultural Center in the past. Thanks to a Go Ask Mom reader, I can share that they have some fun holiday movies for families coming up.

Tickets are free. Refreshments are available for 50 cents to $1 each.

"The Polar Express" is set for 10 a.m., Dec. 19. And a Holiday Movie Festival with "The Muppet Christmas Carol," "Santa Buddies," "The Search for Santa Paws" and "Snow Buddies," is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 26. All of those movies are rated G.

The Holly Springs library website has the full schedule for activities.

Here's what the reader shared about the movies at the center: "It's not the best theater/most comfortable seats but it's free, convenient, and an easy 'beginner' movie experience for young ones that might not be able to handle a big theater. Both the winter community farmers market and the library are in the same building."

That winter market is from 9:30 a.m. to noon on the third Saturday of each month, including Dec. 19.

The center is at 300 West Ballentine St., Holly Springs.
