My favorite way to cook the turkey is on the Grill with charcoal and apple wood chips. I soak it in brine overnight, and roast it in the grill most of Thanksgiving day. This is great because it keeps my oven available to cook the sides, and also keeps less people in the kitchen!

nothing fancy for us, just plain old roasted turkey - YUM!

COLLARD greens with hot vinager is my favorite side to a great turkey.

My favorite way to cook a turkey was to show up at by brothers house and enjoy the turkey he had cooked and the family and friends in attendance. It will be different this year as my brother passed away a few weeks ago after a battle with cancer.

My favorite side dish is baked mac and cheese with crumbled bacon.

My favorite holiday side dish is green bean casserole!

with butter and rosmary and squash caseroll on the side!

Favorite side dish - sweet potato casserole!

My favorite way to cook a Butterball Turkey is when someone else cooks it!! LOL

I will buy and my sister will cook it :)

I like to put my turkey in the oven after I have basted it with a little butter on top. My family likes a good ole fashion turkey. We always get a Butterball turkey.

Best way to cook it is in the oven after injecting it with butter and spices. And what's Thanksgiving without pumpkin pies

our favorite side dish on thanksgiving is.... homemade egg salad! yes, a huge bowl with rolls, there is not a bite left ever year!

My favorite way to cook a turkey is either deep frying or baking in the oven. I haven't ever stuffed the turkey before putting it in the oven, but I may just have to try that this year. My favorite side dish is my mother in laws stuffing. Its a tradition for me, my sister in law, niece and mother in law to fix the stuffing together. Its absolutely delicious!!

Thanksgiving would not be the same without my moms homemade stuffing and candied yams! Yummm, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. :)

My hubby cooks the turkey, which for me is the BEST way! He does the stuffing too and then I do the rest of the meal. He swears a minimal approach is best....salt & pepper and butter on the bird...wrapped in a good tin foil tent with half the stuffing in the bird and half out. It comes out perfect every year!

What is Thanksgiving Turkey without a sweet potato casserole?! Yummy!

Oh, my very favorite way to cook a turkey is to fry it with cajun spices, like I used to do with my dad. :) Since we do not currently have a fryer, I roast it slowly with an herb butter compote rubbed into the meat under the skin. My favorite side dish is my mom's dressing, which I make from scratch every year, from the cornbread to the biscuits that go into it. Usually, two pans of cornbread, since one always disappears before making it into the dressing!! My grandmother and I were laughing about that the other day.

Our favorite way is to slow roast the turkey. So many good recipes for Thanksgiving but a favorite is Pumpkin Chocolate Chip bread.

About 15 years ago, I saw a show the they brine-d a turkey... From that point on, that is how I have fixed mine and I have never tasted any better. My favorite side is the dressing... Like my mother, I fix mine as a side dish and do not "stuff" it in the bird. The bird cavity is saved for apple, onion and herbs...

We cook our Turkey is deep frying. The night before I take a flavor injector and inject butter and my special blend of spices. That makes for a very flavorful and moist inside. Favorite side dish is the cornbread stuffing my Grandmother has been making since I can remember, Just brown and serve its the best.

My favorite way to cook the turkey is roasting in the oven. I love getting up early and preparing my favorite side which is the homemade stuffing - simple but delicious. I love the smell of the turkey that spreads throughout the house. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I would love to win a Butterball turkey so I can make more of my homemade stuffing. By the way, thank you for helping me save money.

I like to make Cheroset as a Thanksgiving side dish. It is traditionally a Jewish Passover dish, but the flavors are wonderful with the traditional Fall/Thanksgiving dishes. It's basically, chopped apples, walnuts, honey, cinnamon, and sweet wine or grape juice. It is great by itself....but I like to eat it with goat cheese and bread.

We love to fry our turkeys, but oil is so expensive we don't do it often! It's hard to pick a favorite Thanksgiving recipe but my husband's sweet potato pies are the best!!

First, I soften my butter and then add my seasoning to it. After that, I rub my turkey on the outside and under the skin with the butter mixture and then I place it in a browning bag and let it cook slowly. It is so juice and tender.

Our favorite way to cook a turkey is by slow roasting our turkey & spending time with the family. And of cource don't forget the pumpkin pie-I'm hungry all ready.

My favorite Holiday side is Stuffing, I can remember having my God Mother teach me and my sisters how to make this side by scratch. We would roll out sleeves up and get to work with putting every thing together. And the most fun part is making a mess and Eatting it after it was done! The Turky is grilled, my father pulls his grill out early in the AM and grills the etire turkey it comes out so jucy and tender melts in your mouth with that gilled tast! Yummooo

My favorite way to cook a turkey is to put it on the grill and cook it, then if it is not all eaten you can make turkey barbeque. My favorites side dish is candied yams and collared. My favorites dessert is homemade pecan pies. When I make my pecan pies I always have to make extra so that my relatives can take one home with them.

We have tried over the years to prepare our turkey different trendy ways. But the FAVORITE for my kids and solider is to stuff it and cook it slow (baste it hourly) just like Grandma used to do. Our favorite side dish is Grandma's Sweet Potato Casserole. YUM

My favorite side dish, hmmmm....that's hard! I like so many! I guess I would have to say sweet potato cassarole. So sweet and yummy!

My favorite part of Thanksgiving Dinner is Dessert. Especially my Mom's Strawberry Delight, which is similar to cheesecake, but easier to make. So delicious! This year we are going to my sister's house in TN for Thanksgiving and my parents are going there too. It's the first Thanksgiving since my sister's husband passed away and we are going there to surround her and her kids with love and support. It would be great to show up with a turkey in hand.

I just put my turkey in browning bag with butter and let cook, I love homemade potatoe salad & collard greens, Mmmmmmmmmm Good!

We barbeque our Turkey on a Wilmington Grill. Get up around 5or six and put it on. We fill the grill with water and steam cook it. It is the pretty brown turkey and so moist. Then I take it up and chop it like barbeque. We use my special sauce and pour it on and mix it. We always have the regular Turkey and the Barbeque Turkey. My kids always ask for the Barbeque Turkey with my sauce (Ketchup, brown sugar, vineagar, garlic, salt and pepper, butter and bring to a boil and add a few more spices) .

Deep frying is a great way to cook your Thanksgiving turkey!! My favorite side dish is the green bean casserole, YUM!!!!

I always brine my turkey overnight in vegetable stock and kosher salt. Next, rinse and dry, removing the innards. Then, I heat a pot of water almost to boil. Sitting the turkey in the sink, I pour the hot water over the turkey- this pulls the skin in tight, making for a juicier turkey. Then, I bake until the little timer pops up! My favorite side dish is giblet gravy, so save those innards!

I love the fried turkey!!!!!

Our traditional Thanksgiving dinner consists of oyster dressing, cranberry salad, fresh green beans, sweet potato casserole, homemade rolls, and pumpkin pie. However, this year we are fixing roasted cornish hens, macaroni/spinach muffins, green beans, and hot rolls. Of course, we can't forget the pumpkin pie!

Turkey is great any way it is prepared or even cold the next day for sandwiches. We prefer it baked in the oven with Grandma's love and attention to every detail. We really look forward to the giblet gravy that only Grandma can fix!!! umm, umm, umm All the side dishes just add to the great taste of the complete Thanksgiving Dinner!

I can't pick just one side dish, so here goes: mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, and turkey... If turkey was a side! :)

My all time favorite thanksgiving dish is sweet potato pie. It is so yummy. I like making my family baked macaroni and cheese with 4 different types of cheeses.

I fix my turkey with Butter, sage and rosemary stuffed in the cavity. Then continue to baste with butter while it cooks. My favorite side dish is a sweet potato casserole with brown sugar and pecans crumbled on top.

I still use the Reynolds Browning bag. After a good washing the turkey and placing patties of butter inside the old bird, I put more on the breast area and cook in oven. No stuffing in bird. I prepare my stuffing as a side dish and a favorite is giblet gravy.

I have ALWAYS loved stuffing but my new favorite is Pumpkin bars!

Thank you so much for the chance to win!

Good luck to all!! :)

I love turkey any way. I always look forward to the fresh cranberry sauce too:)

One of my favorite side dishes is a cranberry salad. You add a box of red jello with warm water, Canada Dry Cranberry Ginger Ale and a 1/2 cup of pecans. The warm water and Cranberry Ginger Ale will be the same amount stated on the jello box. Mixed all ingredients together and chilled for 2 hours. Afterwards, one can place the chilled Cranberry Ginger Ale Jello on a piece of lettuce as a side dish. This could be a desert or a side dish. (michelledavis20)

deep fried turkey injected with italian salad dressing is the best! Favorite side dish is 5 cup salad or baked macaroni & cheese! Mmm..my mouth is watering already!

My favorite is fried turkey With Ukraniun mushroom dish on the side .

I love the traditional baked turkey with all the trimmings. Even better, I love a turkey sandwich the next day!

I love to brine the turkey like my mom and grandma did. I soak it overnight in salt water in a huge pan in the fridge or if it's chilly enough outside I just cover it in the pan and soak it outside on the screened-in porch. It makes the moistest turkey ever!!!

My 2 favorite side dishes are corn pudding and collard greens.

I always cook my turkey, the old fashion way, rub it down in plenty of butter, then cover it with a cheese cloth, that has been rubbed in plenty of butter then cover the turkey, and baste every hour. I cook it at 300 slowly, the aroma is out of this world, then prepare the mashed potatoes, with the dressing, and vegetables..HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE
