My mom's neighbor lets her collect the pecans off his pecan tree, and the resulting pies are delicious!

Our family of friends always have us over for Thanksgiving dinner because Greg makes the absolute BEST turkey brined to perfections before cooking it. My job is to bring the greenbean casserole and of course the relish tray! Would not be a Thanksgiving without greenbean casserole!

My most favorite side dish is a good ol' southern side of sweet potato casserole!! I especially love making it with sweet potatoes fresh from the garden.

I prefer roasting the bird with salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, and butter.

No matter what sides I want to make, I am always asked to be sure to make a yellow squash and white cheddar gratin -- a recipe I got out of the Fearrington House Cookbook years ago.

I fix the turkey breast with a little butter rubbed on the skin and placed in a plastic browning bag in the oven. Perfect every time.

My favorite side that gives and keeps on giving with our turkey is Mema's German Slaw. Delicious with the turkey but oh my with a turkey sandwich it melts all it's juices to make the ultimate sandwich!

Every year, my family begs me to make my almost famous Italian Roasted Turkey topped with layer of pancetta!

I have my husband cook the turkey. It works every time.

I like my turkey slow cooked in the oven with homemade stuffing and dressing with all the trimmings: mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green breans, corn, deviled eggs and pies!

the most amazing way i have ever cooked a turkey is in the microwave. IT is amazingly juicy and it will even brown: right in the microwave. clean and season your thawed turkey and add about 1 cup of water. place turkey breast side down cover with saran wrap.cook for about 10 minutes per pound and then flip it. Remove the saran wrap and cook in 5 - 10 minute increments until the done indicator pops up. Don't knock it until you have tried it. RPactice on a chicken first if you must. It's all good.

The best side dish is dessert, Sweet potato pie

I love a roasted turkey. My favorite side is green bean casserole!

My grandma taught me the best way to cook turkey! Buy breasts instead of the whole turkey, cover in the tiniesty bit of Mayo and wrap tightly in aluminum foil! The most moist turkey you will ever eat!!

I am a grill girl!!! Simple, easy and then let's eat:):)

No favorite dish. Everything on Thanksgiving is good, especially when you are with family!

i absolutely love and miss my mothers carrot casserole, collards, smashed potatoes, and homemade yeast roles !!!! Yummy!

On the grill with grilled corn on the cob.

Fried in hot peanut oil....the ONLY way to cook a turkey!

With 5 kids, we learned a long time ago to quickly put together our Thanksgiving meal!! We prepare our turkey the night before and put it in a Reynolds turkey bag in the refrigerator. At 5 a.m. Thanksgiving Day, we put it in the oven. While it cooks, I can finish up any remaining side dishes while leaving the pumpking pie to cook last while we eat our meal. My favorite side dish is the dressing which has been passed down for generations on my Mom's side of the family and it's the dressing. I can assemble all of the ingredients ahead of time and just add the fresh turkey broth as soon as the turkey is done cooking and then put the dressing in the oven. Very simple and delicious recipe. My kids didn't like the traditional gravy recipe so I started making one from Rachel Ray and it is easy, heavenly and a hit w/the kids!

Turkey on the grill is fantastic!! My husband is in charge of the turkey every year. He soaks it in a salt water brine the night before, then rinse good the next morning, pat dry, rub with oil and sprinkle with seasoning salt. Cook directly on the grill and it's great. Very moist turkey with a crispy skin!!

I love to cook turkey in a very hot oven, turn it out and then reheat the next day it is delicious

On the grill is amazing!

Our favorite side is my Mom's dressing recipe but made into patties like my husband's grandmother made her's. The kids and grandkids call them dressing cookies. Everybody gets crispy edges and leftovers are easy to reheat.

I love B-B-Q and a turkey cooked in the oven with crispy skin. Favorite side dish will always be the sausage stuffing. Thanksgiving is also the time to try a few new things, and keep the old favorites.

My favorite side dish at Thanksgiving is a Date Salad. It is an old family recipe that has chopped dates, pineapple, marshmallows and cream cheese (and a few more ingredients) in it.

I love fried turkey! Crispy skin and juicy meat, goes great with stuffing and cranberry sauce. Oh my, can't wait for next week!

stuffed with apples and celery

I like to rub olive oil all over the turkey and then coat it with seasoning salt and then bake it according to the directions on the turkey, no bag. The skin is crispy and then inside is tender and juicy everytime!

Fried turkey is the absolute best. My favorite side is a toss up between my green bean casserole (it's different from most) and strawberry congealed salad.

Ever since I was a little tyke my Mothers stuffing has been and will always be my favorite Thanksgiving side dish.

Faaaaaavorite, must have, side dish is my moms sweet potato soufflé! Yuuuuuuuuuuuuumm-O! Happy Thanksgiving, Faye! Hope your table is surrounded with love :)

I love deep fried turkey the best but I will eat it any way. The best side dish is my mother's cranberry salad---YUMMY!! I look forward each year to Thanksgiving to get this salad and take leftover home to enjoy...

A turkey with honey rubbed in between the meat and skin is our family tradition!

Our family has to have some great homemade dressing and gravy as part of the family tradition. I have made a tasty fruit pie the last few years, compliments of Ocean Spray, that has apples, walnuts and cranberries (of course) in it that is really good. I also bring the whip cream to top it off. My taste buds are ready!!!

Our family loves to inject the turkey with a butter marinade and deep fry it. It is so tender and juicy with a crispy skin. Delicious!

I have the best luck with cooking my turkey in a browning bag. You have lots of broth to make the gravy and enough for the good old homemade dressing. Happy Thanksgiving

My Favorite side dish is my homemade stuffing that includes crusty french bread, diced apples and italian sausage. Along with a couple of other "secret" ingredients !!

Our favorite way to cook a turkey is to grill it on a Weber Kettle grill outside over charcoal. It has a wonderful smoked taste and everyone who eats it loves it!

Favorite side is sweet potato casserole!

I like to cook it in an oven bag or in the slow cooker.

We love our turkey baked in the oven, and it comes out nice and juicy. I can't wait:)

My favorite side dish is sweet potato casserole. We now make it with brown sugar splenda for less calories, but still really good.

My favorite side is squash casserole! It has become a family favorite at our Thanksgiving table each year. :-)

Barbecue Turkey is the best. Inject your barbecue sauce with an extra large needle as you bake it. My favorite side is cornbread stuffing and yams.

My favorite side for Thanksgiving is homemade stuffing! It's the best! I look forward to the holidays when I get to eat it! So yummy!!!!

My family loves my home made pie crust. I make apple, pumkin and mince meat pies every Thanksgiving and every Christmas. I bake my turkey with stuffing in for hours in the oven until the meat falls of the bone.

My 75 yr old Dad likes to be in charge of cooking the turkey. We never know if it will be fried, grilled or what. The favorite side is hot pineapple casserole. A turkey would benefit our food pantry.

I like to brine my turkey for 48 hours in a citrus brine! My favorite side dish for Thanksgiving is my grandmother's Cranberry Salad. It has mini marshmallows, pineapple, apples, cool whip and a few other ingredients. It is amazing! On top of that the citrus turkey with the cranberry is AWESOME!!!

My favorite way to cook a turkey is in a Brown 'n Bag in the oven. Keeps it moist and juicy!!

Are they giving away the abused, broken-bone turkeys ?
