Tickets for Pullen Park's popular Holiday Express are on sale at 8 a.m., TUESDAY, July 25. And, they will ONLY be available through a special Holiday Express Eventbrite page - not through the city's RecLink system. There also will be NO walk-in or phone ticket sales.
So, if you plan on going this year, the critical information is that Eventbrite link, which is this:
The event, which will run for 10 days this year, is set for 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Dec. 7 to Dec. 10 and Dec. 12 to Dec. 17 at the Raleigh park. It will feature lots of holiday lights, visits with Santa, crafts and rides on the park's kiddie train and carousel. Last year, the event sold out within hours.
Tickets are $10 plus $1.29 service fee per person. All guests ages 2 and up must have a ticket.
As usual, ticket buyers will purchase a ticket based on their train departure time (though you can enter the event at any time, regardless of that departure time, on the day your ticket is good for).
The Holiday Express, which marks its tenth anniversary this year, is presented by Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources and the Crabtree Rotary Club. A portion of the proceeds supports Rotary charities.
