Hillsborough man arrested in armed robbery

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Hillsborough police arrested a Hillsborough man yesterday in connection with an armed robbery at an apartment complex on Oct. 22.

Jermarise Dejuan Bolden, 25, of 101 Sherwood Lane was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and placed in Orange County Jail under a $25,000 secured bond.

On Oct. 22, Hillsborough police received a report of an armed robbery at the apartment complex, located at 600 S. Churton St. Officers responded to the scene where two people were held at gunpoint, robbed of $1,200 and a cellphone.

The victims said they had arranged to meet at the complex’s address to buy two iPhone 7s using the OfferUp purchasing application.
