Highway Patrol identifies motorcyclist killed in Kenly wreck

A Kenly man died March 28 when a car crossed the center line of N.C. Highway 222 and hit the motorcycle on which he was traveling, the Highway Patrol said Tuesday.

KENLY, N.C. — A Kenly man died March 28 when a car crossed the center line of N.C. Highway 222 and hit the motorcycle on which he was traveling, the Highway Patrol said Tuesday.

Garry Kent Crumpler, 36, of 281 Crumpler Road, was westbound on N.C. 222 at the time of the wreck.

Donny E. Jones, 64, of 205-D Country Day Road in Goldsboro, was charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle, driving left of center and failure to maintain lane control, authorities said.
