Also, I'm not sure why WRAL couldn't get the name. Local news published this days ago "Troopers have now charged the driver of the minivan they say crossed the centerline, 64 year-old Donnie E. Jones of Goldsboro, with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, driving left of center, and failure to maintain lane control." http://www.1270wmpm.com/

His name has been in the local paper (Kenly News) for days. Why did they just update this story today?

  • way2go Apr 6, 2010

Why did it take so long to publish his name? Family and friends already knew and the funeral has already been held. Why put it on a news story now and remind everyone of the pain they are feeling and the emptiness in their hearts?

Something is missing here. Why did it take a week to release the victims name, and why is the name of the driver of the other vehicle glaringly absent? Maybe I'm too into conspiracy theories, but I have to wonder if a big wheel is involved and would prefer to keep things quiet. RIP, Mr. Crumpler. Praying for your family.

Why publish the name of the victim if the name of the idiot that killed him is not also released?
