High school learning lab extends hours

Posted March 5, 2013

The Wade Edwards Learning Lab in Raleigh across from Broughton High School will now be offering limited Sunday hours.

Starting this past weekend, Wake County high school students can make tutoring appointments between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., Sundays. Students also can use its computer lab for independent academic work.

I'm told that the lab does its best to find a tutor for all subjects. Volunteers from local colleges help out.

The Sunday hours are in addition to the lab's normal hours of 2:15 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. This is a great opportunity for students from across the county to use these services.

For details and to sign up for a Sunday spot, go to the lab's website.
