— Saturday is the last day for pub grub on Kildaire Farm Road. Hibernian Irish Pub & Restaurant announced Monday that it would close its Cary location.

The restaurant's parent company, Hibernian Management (HMI), owns the property and plans to lease it to Newk’s Eatery, a chain with locations in Fayetteville, Greensboro and Winston-Salem.

Hibernian employees will be offered positions with the company's other restaurants, and HMI is negotiating for a new location in downtown Cary.

Hibernian's other locations in north Raleigh and in Glenwood South in Raleigh will remain open.
