The Hibernian Pub on Glenwood Avenue might be closed, but they are still hosting their annual block party and benefit for St. Baldrick's on Saturday afternoon.

Head to Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh to get your head shaved to help fight childhood cancer or donate to the cause. The party starts at 1 p.m.

If you have never been to a St. Baldrick's event, they are tons of fun. People fund-raise, then get their head's shaved. Sometimes, the crowd is even willing to donate a few extra dollars into the mix if you shave your beard or get a mohawk! It is all about doing something great for a great cause.

Hibernian's goal is to raise $225,000 to help fight childhood cancer. You can donate in person or online.
In addition to the St. Baldrick's events, food trucks Chirba Chirba and Baguetteaboutit (two of our Five Faves) will be out there serving up some tasty concoctions. There will also be cupcakes from Gigi's, a kids' corner with face painting and balloon animals, and Hibernian bartenders manning the taps!

This is the eighth year the Hibernian is holding this event.

The Hibernian of Raleigh has been closed since the end of last year after a fire broke out in their kitchen. They have two other locations - one in Cary and another in north Raleigh.
