Henry Winkler's visit to Quail Ridge Books canceled

Posted February 12, 2014

Henry Winkler was in the Triangle Tuesday, May 22, 2012, raising awareness for a condition called Upper Limb Spasticity.

Henry Winkler's visit to Quail Ridge Books & Music scheduled for Thursday has been canceled, the book store tells me. It will not be rescheduled.

The store does have some signed bookplates now if you have purchased one of Winkler's new children's books. The store also will be first on the list for his next book tour, I'm told.

Winkler was to visit Quail Ridge with the first two books in his new series "Here's Hank" with co-author Lin Oliver. Here's Hank No. 1 is "Bookmarks are People, Too." No. 2 is "A Short Tale About a Long Dog." They are best for ages 6 and up.

Winkler might be best known as the actor who played the Fonz and other television characters, but he's also launched a very successful career as a children's book author.

I know we had a good number of Go Ask Mom readers who were excited to go.
