Henderson man charged in Franklin slaying

— A Henderson man was arrested Friday in the death of a man whose body was found in a Franklin County field.

James Marshall Small Jr., of 212 N. Bullock St., was charged with first-degree murder and was being held without bond at Central Prison in Raleigh.

Eddie Ronald David Jr., 20, of Henderson, was found shot to death Tuesday off U.S. Highway 401. Authorities said David had been reported missing in early October.

No information as to a possible motive was released.

    I'm sure that was part of his plan. It's going to take much more than a mugshot to fool the doctors that evaluate him. Glad this scum is off the streets.

    Better to post no photo than that one of the suspect. If it's his mug shot, there's no way that's acceptable. It's definitely going to help the defense claim diminished capacity.
