Henderson man charged in bank robbery

A Henderson man was arrested after police said he robbed a bank on Dabney Drive Extension.

HENDERSON, N.C. — A Henderson man was arrested Friday after police said he robbed a bank on Dabney Drive Extension.

Henderson police received a call about 3 p.m. that the Carter Bank & Trust had just been robbed by a man armed with a weapon. Police said they found 55-year-old Kenneth Lewis Albright, of the 400 block of Corbitt Road, a short distance away.

An undisclosed amount of cash was recovered.

Albright was held in the Vance County jail under a $50,000 bond.
