Durham, N.C. — A Henderson man has been accused of inappropriately touching a 10-year-old girl during a party in Durham Saturday night.
The Durham County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday that Richard Lee Ault, 55, of 1515 Club Pond Road, allegedly took the child behind a building.
The girl told her older sister, who told their parents.
Ault, who authorities say is not related to the child, is charged with one count each of first-degree sex offense with a child, assault on a child under 12, first-degree kidnapping and indecent liberties with a child.
The kidnapping charge, authorities said, stems from Ault allegedly holding the girl against her will. She was never taken from the location of the party.
Ault was arrested Sunday and jailed at the Durham County Detention Center under a $1 million bond.
