With a full range of flowering and non-flowering plants, the WRAL Azalea Gardens is a stunning space for outdoor weddings and offers free reservations for bridal portrait sessions. As greenspace in the Triangle becomes harder to find, the WRAL Azalea Gardens serve as a sanctuary from the clogged city streets, high rise buildings, and the general hustle and bustle of today's metro living.

- The WRAL Gardens free and open to the public year-round
- Hours are dawn until dusk
- There are no fees or reservations required for photography use
- A garden restroom is available for the public
- Free parking is available in the lot across from the gardens
- No smoking or pets are allowed on the grounds
- The gardens encompass 2.5 acres
- We have 60+ varieties of azaleas and many other companion plants including camellias, flowering trees and perennials
- The most popular time to visit for seeing the azaleas in bloom is April. We also have a large collection of Encore azaleas which bloom in spring and fall
