Help a Mom: Seeking an elephant ride

Here's a question that I've never fielded before: Is there any place to ride an elephant around here?

Here's a question that I've never fielded before from a local mom:

I've been wanting to know, and since you seem to be the expert on all things kid-related in the Triangle ... is there anywhere to ride an elephant here??

OK ... so I actually did know of one place where you can go on an elephant ride, though it's not in the Triangle. It's the Natural Bridge Zoo in Virginia, about 30 miles north of Roanoke.

Closer to us, I have no answers. So I thought I'd throw it to you, Go Ask Mom readers. Do you know a place where people can ride an elephant in our region?
