Headstones Damaged as Car Driven Through Cemetery

Posted May 30, 2007

— A car plowed over almost two dozen grave markers at a local cemetery over the weekend, authorities said.

Officials at Rockfish Memorial Park said a man caused up to $20,000 in damage by tearing through the cemetery in his car Sunday afternoon.

Witnesses told police the car broke down, and the man fled on foot. The car was towed, but there was no word Tuesday on the identity of the driver or a possible motive for the vandalism.

Relief is over; the dead has come back to life. :-(

The story never said anything about any god(s), angels, werewolves, Lockness monsters, etc. ever having any hand in this. It is a shame someone would run over a deceased person's grave, but I'm sure the registration or DNA will find the person responsible.

It's a sin and a shame that even when you are (literally) dead to the world, you can't REST IN PEACE.

AWhile some folks are just dying to get into heaven, there are yet others who think they can drive there...I guess.

Praying they catch the culprit - make them pay and repair the headstones.

    God bless.
