RALEIGH, N.C. — After completing the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon on Sunday, April 13, the party will continue with a post-race concert at Red Hat Amphitheater in downtown Raleigh. Danish rock band New Politics will be headlining the free show, event organizers announced today.
Their songs “Harlem” and “Tonight You’re Perfect,” off their new album A Bad Girl in Harlem, have been steadily climbing the charts in the U.S.

“They have great energy and I think that’s exactly what participants and spectators will be expecting at the finish line. This is truly a community celebration and we hope friends, families, and residents of Raleigh will come out and watch the runners and join them at the concert afterwards,” said event director Alan Culpepper.

While the marathon is sold out with 12,500 runners, you can still participate in the event by volunteering, cheering on participants along the race course and attending the post-race concert, which is open to the public.
Limited spots remain available by signing up to run with Team V, the charity training team of The V Foundation.
