RALEIGH, N.C. — A head-on collision near a busy Raleigh intersection tied up traffic Friday night. Police said two vehicles crashed just east of the intersection of Millbrook and Six Forks roads just before 8:30 p.m.

Police closed all lanes of Millbrook Road while they cleared the cars from the scene.

Terrail Taylor told WRAL News she saw a white Toyota Camry traveling very fast and headed east on Millbrook Road. "Clearly they were speeding," she said. "(They) lost control of the car, overcorrected, turned and hit the PT Cruiser head on."

When the Camry smashed into a blue PT Cruiser, the sound reverberated through the neighborhood and brought people running to see what happened, Taylor said.

She reported seeing five people – two adults and a child in the Camry and two adults in the PT Cruiser Taylor, a nurse, said the aftermath of the crash was disturbing to see.

Authorities have not identified any of the people involved in the crash or said how seriously they were injured.
