Hazmat crew dispatched after Raleigh wreck

A hazmat crew was dispatched to Capital Boulevard in Raleigh on Friday night after a wreck left fuel leaking from an SUV, police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A hazmat crew was dispatched to Capital Boulevard in Raleigh on Friday night after a wreck left fuel leaking from an SUV, police said. 

Police said the driver of the SUV lost control and flipped over a guardrail and into the bank of a creek at 1210 Capital Blvd.

The driver was taken to WakeMed Hospital. His condition was not known. 

One outbound lane of Capital Boulevard was blocked while crews cleared the scene.
