Hawaii receiving federal funds to revitalize Native Hawaiian language

Honolulu, HI — Hawaii is getting $90,000 in federal funding to help bring back the Native Hawaiian language. U.S. Senator Brian Schatz announced the funds will go to the non-profit Manoa Heritage Center to use towards programs to revitalize the language, history, and culture.The donation will also be matched dollar-for-dollar by The First Nations Development Institute.
