Hawaii becomes first state to enact law in alignment with Paris accord

HONOLULU, HI — Gov. David Ige and the county mayors gathered Tuesday for the signing of two environmental bills and a mayors' agreement that support the commitments and goals of the Paris climate accord.
This makes Hawaii the first state in the nation to enact legislation that implements parts of the Paris agreement.
